OSMO Stone Coat
OSMO Stone Coat is a special coating that is blended with a special fluoropolymer to give it high penetration performance. After it is absorbed by the stone or concrete, it reacts with the silica in the stone and hardens. This forms an excellent coating block layer inside the stone with high water and oil repellency performance. This is completely different from conventional stone coatings that only form a coating layer on the surface. In other words, there is a physical action. For example, it will not be worn off and disappear in a short time by people’s shoes or car tires!
Application Technique for OSMO Stone Coat
1Application using a brush / roller / spray gun
Please use a brush, roller, or spray gun.
The paint is water-soluble and is hence environmentally friendly.
The material will acquire water/oil-repellent properties in a few minutes after application.
Application of the coating does not result in any observable change to the material’s texture and appearance.
2Standard application conditions
[ Recommended dilution ratio ] OSMO Stone Coat : water ＝ 1 : 6
OSMO Stone Coat is a water-based special coating.
Water can be used to dilute the coating 3 to 6 times.
Please adjust the dilution rate accordingly after checking the results of application.
Standard amount of coating required : 100 ± 30g /㎡ ※ Varies with the material
Time to set: around 30 minutes at room temperature
The time required to set will vary according to prevailing weather conditions.
3Notes regarding the application of product
Please avoid using the product in a place without adequate ventilation.

Please repair all cracks and other defects on the base material using a mortar, etc., before use.
Please ensure that the surface of the material is dry before application.
The material will acquire water/oil-repellent properties in a few minutes after application (the results will be more pronounced on a warm and clear day.)
For calcium carbonate materials (e.g. lime and plaster), the desired properties may take up to several days to fully develop due to the material’s low reactivity.
Storage: Please store the product in a cool, dark location.
